New Abstract Paintings

These are my newest abstract paintings. The top two are 18×24x.5 inches. The next two measure 24×30x.5 inches. The sides of all four of these are staple free and painted black except the green, yellow, blue and white one has the sides painted white.

The last one is 24×48x.5 inches and is stapled on the edges so you would need to frame it. It is also highly textured which unfortunately you cant see in the photos. All of the paintings are finished with a semi gloss varnish to protect them from dust and UV damage.

More Vintage Collages

I’ve finally been able to get the rest of the vintage collages I made uploaded to Fine Art America. The collection now includes 24 pieces! Vintage Collages Mounted on Canvas

Well the craft show last weekend was a bummer. Less than 20 people showed up throughout the whole day! I guess thats what I get for living in a small town LOL. I did sell one of these canvases and a couple Abstract Desert Prints so at least it wasnt a complete waste of time!

So here are the Vintage canvases that I still have available. If you want to buy one (or more) just email me at acornidez@gmail.com or leave a comment here.

Each canvas is $55 which includes shipping within the US.  They are 10×10 inches and created with archival prints mounted onto the canvas. I sealed these with a semi gloss varnish to protect them as well as painted the sides black for a contemporary framed look. There is no need to frame them unless you want to. The images themselves are made up of vintage ladies, papers and textures and made into a collage with Photoshop. Canvases are signed and dated on the back by me.

6 Vintage Collages

I created these six collages for a craft show at a local art gallery this weekend and have made them available as prints. If they do not sell at the show, the originals will be available to purchase here. I’ll add another post with details and whats available after the show.

I absolutely loved making these because it was a combination of all the things I like to do. First I created the images with Photoshop using various vintage images, papers and textures. Printed them on Epson archival paper and mounted them with Mod Podge to 10×10 inch canvas. Painted the edges with black acrylic paint then finished them with a semigloss varnish. Im so very happy with the results of these I almost dont want to sell the originals…but when I make more room on my walls I can make myself some more

Vintage Beauty

Here is a Vintage style image I created with Photoshop yesterday. Available as prints on canvas, greeting cards and more. Click on the picture for a larger view.

Picking Flowers

This is made up of three images, the woman – I didn’t do too much to change her besides adding some highlights to her skin and dress. The man was a color photo I filled with a grayish black to look like a shadow. The forest was also a color photo taken during the day. I desaturated it and added a bluish color layer  to make it darker then I merged them all together and created the light effects. Finally added the texture layer and that was it.
